The Jets quickly found their replacement for Jacksonville-bound Chris Ivory in established RB Matt Forte.

It turned out the Jets had a big-name in mind as a replacement for Chris Ivory.

The Jets are signing Matt Forte, according to a source. Forte, 30, will be a big addition to a running back corps that has already lost Chris Ivory and could lose Bilal Powell.

Forte has spent his entire eight-year career with the Bears and has rushed for 1,000 yards five times in his career. He ought to be a large part of the Jets’ passing attack, too, as the back has caught at least 44 passes in every one of his NFL seasons.
