The Confederate flag has lost a lot of supporters in recent weeks — but Kid Rock isn’t one of them.

The rocker issued a succinct yet scathing response to Fox News for its story about a Michigan-based group protesting the Detroit Historical Museum’s exhibit that bears his name.

Even though Kid Rock is a Michigan native, he had no love for those protesting the Kid Rock Music Lab because of his association with the Confederate flag, which he often displays on stage.

During the segment that aired Thursday, Fox News’ Megyn Kelly read the the rock star’s response to those who wanted him to denounce the flag.

“Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my a–. Ask me some questions.”

Kelly also pointed out to those who are upset by Kid Rock’s embrace of the Confederate flag that he has a biracial son and grandchild.

Kid Rock has an ally in the Detroit Historical Museum, which issued a statement defending the exhibit.

“The Kid Rock Music Lab is one of 10 permanent exhibitions at the Detroit Historical Museum,” the museum said in a statement, via local station WXYZ.

“Kid Rock’s contribution to Detroit’s music history is significant and warrants his inclusion along with other key figures like Stevie Wonder, Bob Seger, Aretha Franklin and Eminem.

“There are no displays of the Confederate flag in the Kid Rock Music Lab or anywhere else inside the Detroit Historical Museum.”

Kid Rock is not the only celeb who has showed his support of the controversial flag, which was removed from the South Carolina Statehouse on Friday.

“Dukes of Hazzard” star Ben Jones issued a statement on Facebook last month defending the flag as a “symbol that represents the indomitable spirit of independence.”
