Joy Behar’s eager to rejoin the “View” panel in time for the presidential race.

Joy Behar is returning to “The View” Tuesday and she’s on fire. She’s already booked both Hillary and Bill Clinton herself and says there was one surprising and overwhelming reason she said yes to a second tour of duty at the troubled talk show.

Donald Trump. I can’t wait to hear what he’s going to say next,” she told Confidenti@l, chuckling. “He’s one of the reasons I wanted back on ‘The View.’ ”

Behar tells us the two are still old New York pals and that she’s not going back with a “personal agenda,” even though she hasn’t changed her outspoken liberal views.

“Everyone knows I’m a Democrat. I took a hiatus, I didn’t get a lobotomy,” she said.

The 72-year-old spitfire says she’ll play nice after once questioning on air if The Donald’s hair were a wig. A furious Trump sent her a letter demanding an apology — which she famously read on the “Tonight Show” in 2013.

Behar says she believes she is “starting to break through” because of moments like the one that happened with Bill Clinton on Wednesday night.

“I saw Bill Clinton at a cocktail party (lobbyist) Liz Robbins threw. I said, ‘I’m back on “The View,” ’ and he said, ‘I know.’ I said, ‘Would you like to come on with me?’ He said, ‘Yes, I will.’ ” she said.

The witty Behar said she basically had to take matters into her own hands when it came to getting Hillary to be a guest.

Hillary and Bill Clinton will be going on “The View” after invitations from Joy Behar.

“I booked Hillary two weeks ago,” she says, laughing. “I saw her at a party,” and made a move. “I learned that from my other shows. Book people when you’ve got the chance.”

Her dream guests? Mike Huckabee, Scott Walker, Jeb Bush and Chris Christie, “although I doubt he’ll ever come on,” she said.

Overall, Behar says the timing of her return after two years off seems perfect.

“I wanted to do other things,” she muses. “I wrote plays, I wrote my one-woman show. I had parties, I had people over, and now they asked me back.”

Behar can be seen on the show five days a week for three months, until Candace Cameron Bure returns from filming “Fuller House.” After that, Behar will be on most days and will moderate every Friday in place of Whoopi Goldberg, who plans to work four days a week..

“The View’s” 19th season kicks off Tuesday on ABC.
