Chobani was chosen by the federal government to supply the Greek-style yogurt as part of its school lunch program.

Vanilla yogurt — it’s the other, other white meat.

Public schools nationwide will offer Chobani yogurt as a meat replacement this fall, the New York-based firm said Monday.

Chobani was chosen by the federal government to supply the protein-rich, Greek-style yogurt as part of its school lunch program.

During the first three months of a pilot program last year, schools in New York, Idaho, Arizona and Tennessee went through 200,000 pounds of Chobani. By the time the program expanded to 12 states, schools were ordering 700,000 of the tangy dairy product.
