Vampires could drain a person’s blood in six minutes: study Posted by: in Top Story March 22, 2016 0 360 Views Kimberley French/Summit Entertai/AP A vampire could drain 15 percent of a person’s blood within 6.4 minutes, according to a University of Leicester study. They’ve come to drink your blood… quickly. A vampire could drain your flow in just six minutes, according to a study from physics students at the University of Leicester in England. The students calculated that a vampire who created two 0.5 mm puncture holes would take just 6.4 minutes to drain 15 percent of the body’s blood. Jen Grantham/iStock/Getty After 15 percent of a person’s blood is drained, the effort to drink the rest would be too much for a vampire. At that point, a person’s heart rate changes and the vampire would lose interest based on how much effort would be required to continue drinking. The Leicester students make a point of acknowledging that vampires aren’t intending to kill the humans, just drink enough to survive. Six minutes gives your friend plenty of time to show up with a crucifix, garlic or a stake, hopefully. kfeldman@nydailynews.com Tags: united kingdom Let’s block ads! (Why?)
