The passenger airliner that crashed Saturday in a remote part of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, killing all 224 people onboard, hit home for the Russian residents of Brooklyn. “It’s a horrible accident, and all my sympathy is with the families,” said Valentina Sukhanova, who moved to Brighton Beach from Moscow three months ago. “Us Russians in America need to stand with our fellow Russians in this.” The tragedy took the lives of 217 passengers, including 25 children, and seven crew members, according to officials.
